Colleague of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam) And Mr. Tamilarasu Kaliannan, Director, NSDC approved trainer and DGCA approved RPAS pilot and training Instructor, Aerotics Technologies.

Event Description:Department of Aeronautical Engineering, Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering has organized a virtual project Exhibition " DSCE-Project Open Day-2021". Sri Debadatta Mishra, Scientist/Engineer-SE, Liquid Propulsion System Center, ISRO, Bangalore inaugurated the program and evaluated the projects on three categories. Best Project Award, Best Innovative Project and Best Project of social relevance.

A three days Virtual International Conference on “ADVANCES IN MECHANICAL ENGINEERING SCIENCES & MANAGEMENT-2020 (ICAMESM - 2020)" was organized from 7-9th December 2020. The present conference focuses on the advances in the field of Aeronautical, Automobile, Industrial, Mechanical Engineering and Management. The experience of faculty and students in various approaches of Mechanical Engineering Sciences and Management studies were utilized to enrich the quality of the Conference.

4th semester students of Department of Aeronautical Engineering, DSCE, visited a Govt. Higher primary school in Doddaballapur and taught them about the Importance of saving water. They have conducted sports activities and prizes were distributed to the winners. They have also taught school children the importance of sports and how to stay active. Children, teachers and local people were happy and appreciated our students for this initiative. Event Date: 04th March 2020

4th semester, Aeronautical Engineering, DSCE, visited Prachajanya Vidyapeetha Proudhashaala, Govt. High school in Basaveshwara Nagar, Bangalore and interacted with the students of 8th and 9th grade. They have taught the students the importance of flights and their functioning. This was done to build an interest among students towards aviation and aerospace. They have also conducted activities to enhance their learning about the subject and build curiosity. The Principal has appreciated our students and wanted our students to take more tasks like this in the future. Event Date: 05th March 2020

Thomas Lee of Quanser visited Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering campus for academic interaction with Automobile, Mechanical, IEM, Aeronautical and Civil Engineering departments. 11.11.2019.

IAF has allotted a Gas Turbine Engine (with after burner) to the Department of Aero. Engg, educational purpose for the students. The Jet Engine was inaugurated by The Secretory Shri. Galiswamy and the Principal Dr. C P S Prakash on 21st May 2018.

The students of II and III year and the staff of department of Aeronautical Engineering arranged a farewell day on 26th April 2019 for the final year students of 2015 batch.

The Open Day Project Exhibition – 2019 was held in the Department of Aeronautical Engineering on 08th May 2019 and it was inaugurated by the Chief Guest Dr. K V Ramana Murthy, Scientist ‘E’, General Systems Directorate, Aeronautical Development Agency, Bengaluru.
