The CENTRE FOR PERFORMING Arts is the premium platform for Dayananda Sagar Institutions and Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering where students are allowed to showcase their vivid talents in the form of Dance , Music , Art, Literature, Theatre, Fashion and Management. We at the Centre for Performing Arts also known as the CPA make sure that the students are given an equal chance and opportunity so that they can nurture their Cultural Persona with the daily routine of studies and college. The CPA is the responsible for conducting the Cultural and Managerial Events for Dayananda Sagar Institutions. The CPA makes sure that every student in college gets equal opportunity to come and showcase their talent and thus we have Individual teams and auditions are conducted for students at the start of every new year. The most notable teams representing CPA are MUDRA – Indian Contemporary Dance Group, Samudra- The Music Group, ABD – Western Hip Hop Dance Group, CK-6 Western Dance Group and Rhythmic Rockers – Bollywood Dance Group. We also spread our wings over the department of art and literature thus we have our own Art team and Literary team. The CPA has a separate Media team taking care of Photography, Videography and Design that covers all the events happening in the college. The Design team holds the responsibility of coming up with the most prime and superlative designs for the promotions of art and culture.
We have a separate Management Team comprising of Campaigning, Event Management, Stage Management, Celebrity Management, Publicity and Hospitality. Each team is structured on a yearly manner so that there is proper coordination and effective management at all levels. One of the cardinal and most successful event that the CPA conducts every year is VIBRATIONS – The Annual Intra College Cultural Fest conducted for Dayananda Sagar Institutions. Vibrations is the prime example of the hard work and dedication laid down by CPA as we witness the most authentic and unparalleled cultural and artistic events conducted and coordinated by the students.
With one of the most engaging and alluring campus in Bangalore, CPA holds the reputation of conducting the most peerless cultural and techno-cultural fests in the region.
With a footfall of more than 8000 students last year VIBRATIONS has revolutionized the intra college festival culture in the region with magnanimous and mind blowing art and entertainment.
VIBRATIONS involves more than 12 different types of Cultural Platforms upon which more than 3000 students showcase their talent by competing over 49 different events during the course of the 3 day Cultural fest. We at CPA hold the reputation of conducting one of the biggest and most unique intra college cultural fests in the region.
A Number of prominent Kannada Film industry teams and established Kannada artists such as Rakshith Shetty, Roaring star Sriimuralli ,Dhruva Sarja , Yograj Bhatt, Sanchitha Padukone, Rashmika Mandana , Master Anand , Manvitha Harish, Late. LN Shashtri , Nagathi Halli Chandrashekhar, Kirik Kirti, Sunil Rao , Vinayak Joshi, Danish Sait and KP Srikanth have graced the stage of DSI as guest celebrities over the past few years by the efforts of the Celebrity Management team of CPA and act as a catalyst of attraction for the crowd.
The students of CPA have represented DSI over past many years and won several Laurels at both National and VTU fest levels in Dance , Music, Photography , Videography and Literature.
The cultural phenomenon lead by Dayananda Sagar Institutes has its deep roots lying in the Cultural Committee known as the Centre For Performing Arts, We not only nurture art and talent but also make sure that students are able to showcase it on kinds of platforms.
