Mrs. Geetha L, Assistant Professor, Department of CTM, Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering presented a paper in Third International Conference on “Recent Advances in engineering Sciences (ICRAES-2018) held in Ramaiah Institute of Technology, Bengaluru on 26th and 27th September 2018.
The topic of presentation was “Identification of structural Damage using Frequency response Functions”.

Event Title : A Systems Approach to Traffic Safety (ASATS-2.0)

The Department of Construction Technology Management & Highway Technology, Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering conducted a Road Safety Awareness Campaign on “A Systems Approach to Traffic Safety” (ASATS 2018) on 12th April 2018 at DSCE Campus. On 12th April, three events were conducted in and around college campus, mainly to create an awareness among the road users on various road safety issues. This event was conducted in association with the Traffic Police Department, Vijayavani and Digvijaya News Media. Mr Nagaraju M, Inspector of Police, Traffic Kumaraswamy layout, Mr Baadal Nanjundaswamy, Street Artist & Socialist and Mr Prashanth Siddi, Artist and Actor were present and inaugurated the event.
A flash mob was arranged to capture attention of people followed by a mime that portrays the role of the entire system of pedestrians, drivers, engineers, traffic police, emergency care units and other organizations to create a safer road environment. This was followed by safety campaigning in the form of a rally around DSCE campus and assistance to the traffic police in regulating traffic. Mr Baadal Nanjundaswamy created an art work around a severely damaged Footpath front of DSCE college which has caused many problems to the surrounding people from many years, after this event that huge pot hole was closed by the BBMP and solved the long standing issue in a day. The program is conducted as part of the Departments efforts to create student-centric activities that allows them to reach out to the community and render their services as responsible engineers.
