    • Graduates will be able
    • PSO 1: To apply the knowledge of basic sciences and fundamentals of engineering to conceptualise, design, model and manufacture automotive systems / processes.

On behalf of our staff members, I welcome you for a stimulating learning journey. The department of Automobile Engineering was started in the year 2009 affiliated to VTU and is now autonomous with an intake of 60 per year and has made significant achievements during this journey. Department has a team of highly qualified and experienced faculty members in diversified streams and have published papers in reputed national and international journals.

Inaugurated Two Wheeler Service Activities in the Department

The Department has taken an initiative to utilizing laboratory infrastructure and man power effectively during this pandemic period by starting two wheeler service activities.

“Two Days Smart Manufacturing on Artificial Intelligence in Additive Manufacturing for Automobile Sector”

2 days workshop on Artificial Intelligence in Additive Manufacturing for Automotive Sector was conducted in the Department of Automobile Engineering on 5th and 6th of March 2020.

Project Presentation in the event “Avishkar” at VTU, Belgaum

Our 6th semester students Ashik S V and Srushti D N presented their pollution control device at Avishkar Project Presentation at VTU, Belgaum on 11-03-2020.

Autodesk Fusion 360 Academy Seminar and Exhibition

Students of VIII semester participated in Autodesk Fusion 360 Academy Seminar and Exhibition on 22-02-2020 at Radisson Blu, Bengaluru.

Interaction with Scientech Technologies Pvt. Ltd.

A meeting with Nikhil Kela, Sr. Executive, from Scientech Technologies Pvt. Ltd. was held in the Department Seminar Hall. The objective of the interaction was to explore the possibilities to have an MOU for carrying out joint research programmers and also setting up a Lab on Electric and Autonomous Vehicles.

Interaction with CADD Centre

HOD and Faculty member of the department interacted with Mr. Vidyashankar, Business Head, CADD Centre on 17-01-2020 regarding training program on Electric Vehicle for students.

3D PRINTING WORKSHOP

Two days 3D printing workshop was carried out in the department of Automobile Engineering on 25th and 26th April, 2019.

Dr. H N Suresh, Professor and HOD, Visited “ALTAIR“on 26th April 2019 along with Mechanical HOD.

BHARATH FORMULA KARTING

Our team “PARSEC” participated in Bharath Formula Karting Race competition at Coimbatore on 02-03-19 and won first place in design and got prize.

INTERACTION OF SAE REEV TEAM WITH GENERAL MOTORS

Mr. Sunil Gupta of General Motors Technical Centre, our mentor of REEV team interacted with our students on 5-3-19 in view of upcoming SAE REEV competition.
