    Summary: A Three-day Workshop on Python programming with a Practical approach using Open CV, PyQt and Data science in association with Karunadu Technologies Pvt. Ltd. was held from 5th – 7th March 2020 at Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering, Department of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering, Bengaluru. This Workshop aimed at providing its attendee with the basic understanding of Python programming and advanced Object-Oriented Programming concepts, File handling, PyQt GUI basics, Image processing using Open CV, NumPy and Pandas.

  • 5-days Faculty Development Programme

    5-days Faculty Development Programme on Embedded Systems & IoT Applications.

    5-days Faculty Development Programme on Embedded Systems & IoT Applications was held in the department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering during 26th – 30th July 2019 in association with Texas Instruments University Program.

    The FDP was structured and tailored to meet the needs of the engineering faculty to get a very good exposure of embedded systems and Internet enabled use cases and their applications. Typical applications could be battery powered sensor signal acquisition, processing and connectivity to the Cloud with Dash boards. The hands-on workshop covered the architecture of TI CC3200 which is a wireless microcontroller and the first in the industry to evolve to a single microcontroller programmable to wireless (Wi-Fi standard) connectivity.

  • Hobby Project Mela - 2019

    Hobby Project Mela - 2019

    HobbyProject Mela-2019 was conducted in the department of Telecommunication Engineering Under IETE Students’ Forum on 25-4-2019. Students of 6th semester and 4th semester participated in the event . There were totally 31 projects for display, out of which 3 projects were selected for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places. The project scrutiny was done by two external judeges(Dr. Sathish Sheth, Dept of ECE, JSS Academy and Dr.Dinesh, Dept of ECE, DSCE) and two internal judges(Dr. Vinod Durdi, Dept of TCE and Mr. Kiran Kumar Dept of TCE, DSCE). Prize distribution ceremony was held at Heritage buiding Seminar Hall in the presence of Pricipal- Dr C P S Prakash, PG Director- Dr.A Srinivasan and Head of the Department - Dr. A R Ashwatha.

    A three days FDP and student workshop on Neural Network, Machine Learning, Deep Learning and its applications using MATLAB and SIMULINK in association with CoreEl Technologies was held from 25th – 27th February 2019 at, DayanandaSagar College of Engineering, Department of Telecommunication Engineering, Bengaluru.

    The workshop aimed at providing its attendee with the understanding of latest version of MATLAB R2018a, fundamentals of MATLAB & SIMULINK, State Flow Design, Dynamic System Modeling, Designing Control System modules, Hardware Interface and Simscape for Power Electronics.

    The event was coordinated by Dr. Ganashree T S, Associate Professor andMr.Pramod, Instructor TCE along with the student coordinatorsunder the guidance of Organizing chair Dr. A.R. Ashwatha, Head Of The Department, Telecommunication Engineering, DSCE Bangalore and technical support with the presentation was providedby Mr. Pramod Kumar Naik, Technical Manager(Mathworks products) CoreEL Technologies,BangaloreandMr. Manisankar ApplicationEngineerMathworks products) CoreEL Technologies, Bangalore, and Mr. BanuPrakash, Application Engineer, CoreElTechnologies.The workshop was attended by 77 students and 17 faculty members from the Department Of Telecommunications, DSCE Bangalore.

    The closing ceremony begun in the presence of Dr. C P S Prakash, Principal, DSCE, Dr. H.Ramakrishna, Vice- Principal, DSCE, Dr.A.R.Aswatha, Head of the Department, Dept of TCE, and Resource persons from CoreEL technologies, Bangalore.

    Everyone was heartlywelcomed byDr.A. R.Aswatha, HOD TCE to the valedictorian ceremony. The Dr. CPS Prakash, Principal ,DSCE, Bangalore motivated students by his speech, followed by a few words from Dr.H. Ramakrishna, Vice Principal ,DSCE,Bangalore.

    The attendees, participants and coordinators were awarded with certificates by Dr. CPS Prakash and Dr. H. Ramakrishna,DSCE, Bangalore.The thank you note as the official end of the three day workshop was presented by Dr. Ganashree TS, Associate Professor, Dept of TCE. The Feedback was taken from the attendees by the coordinators and it was hence, concluded that the session was proved to be very beneficial to all its participants.The 60 attendees were benefitted with licence tool of Matlab 2018a for a month of 30 days in their personal laptop after the session was concluded on day 3.

    Valedictory Program On Java was conducted from 13th March 2017 till 29th May 2017 by Mr. Chetan Kumar Gorkal for students of 6th semester of Electronics and Telecommunication engineering to bridge the gap between industry and academia, which provided them a platform to enhance their learning curvature.

    • Introduction to JAVA and JVM (JDK,JRE)-Platform independence feature.
    • Fundamentals-Reserved words, data types, variables (static, instance and local) and arrays. Flow control (if else, switch and loops), var-arg methods.

    NETSYS-2017

    NETSYS-2017 - an inaugural edition of the workshop conducted by Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering on Feb 06th and 07th 2017. In order to provide an insight of networking concepts and the technological updates to keep our students walk along the recent trends on communication networks. This workshop focuses on 4th semester students to know the basic computer communication network concepts and networking operating systems. Hands-on training program was given on “VMWare platform” to build knowledge on network programming in C on Linux. VMWare Workstation is a hosted hypervisor that runs Windows and Linux operating system. It enables users to set up virtual machines (VMs) on a single physical machine, and use them simultaneously along with the actual machine. Each virtual machine can execute its own operating system, including versions of Microsoft Windows, Linux, BSD, and MS-DOS.
