ISOI Student Chapter

ISOI student chapter for Electronics & Instrumentation department was established in the year 2005. From then onward students from the department regularly enrolled as annual members. The department conducted many events under this chapter. Some of the recent technical activities conducted are Workshop on Arduino programming and Interfacing and Mini Project Exhibition. This student chapter creates opportunity for the students to improve their technical skills to face the industrial environment.

    Workshop on “Project Finance Management”

    A seminar on Project Finance Management was organized in the Department of Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering on November 21 st , 2023, in association with the ISOI student chapter. Dr. Parul Tandan, Chair of Corporate Relations was invited as the speaker. The objective of the seminar was to provide participants with a foundational understanding of project finance principles, concepts, and methodologies. The speaker introduced various project finance models and structures used in different industries and sectors.

    Workshop on “Artificial Intelligence for Embedded Systems”

    The Department of Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering of Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering, Bengaluru, organized a 5 days Students Development Training Program on "Artificial Intelligence for Embedded Systems", supported by AICTE MODROB Scheme, New Delhi, in association with STMicroelectronics, Bengaluru, DigiToad Technologies, Bengaluru and Advanced Electronics Systems Pvt Ltd, Bengaluru. The workshop was held from 5th June 2023 to 9th June 2023 in the EIE Department. This program was conducted for the students of 6th semester along with the lateral entry students of 4th semester. A total of 26 students successfully completed the 5 days' workshop.


    “Week Long Expert Series”

    Department of Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering, organized a week-long expert lecture by experts from different domains from February 6, 2023 to February 11, 2023, to create an appropriate platform for students who do not have avenues to update their knowledge and keep intact with the modern developments in various fields across the world. Lectures presented by accomplished experts and esteemed academicians, who have attained pre-eminence in the domains of Engineering, both technical and non-technical, were followed by engaging interactions. The endeavor also sought to empower students to recognize their potential and unleash their creativity. This was achieved through the exchange of innovative ideas, imparting knowledge about various fields, and fostering a general transformation of knowledge to align with futuristic and upcoming developments.


    Workshop on “ARM Embedded CORTEX Processors -IoT and Multimedia Applications”

    A 5 days workshop was conducted for the 4th and 6th semester students, from 22nd to 25th June and 27th June, 2022. The workshop was on “ARM Embedded CORTEX Processors – IoT and Multimedia Applications.” The workshop was organized by the Department of EIE in association with Advanced Electronic Systems, Bengaluru. The students were given a hands-on experience with various ARM processors and their applications by Prof. Darshak, IISc, Mr. Chidambar Kulkarni, Mr. Sunil S, Mr. Raghavendar Prasad and Mr. Muthukumar, members of ALS and Dr. Bhanuprashanth SB, Professor at BMSCE. Bengaluru. This workshop helped the students with ideas on how to create their projects as well as develop ideas for new projects.


    “Atharva 3.0”

    The Department of Electronics and Instrumentation of Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering organized its third edition of the technical fest, Atharva on 3rd and 4th of January, 2022. The name “Atharva” is derived from Atharva Veda -one of the Vedas, which is entitled to provide one with the basic knowledge to lead day-to-day life. Various events were taking place on the day of the event which included both Technical and Recreational activities. There was a total of 8 events in which 4 non-technical and 4 technical events took place.


    Workshop on “Advanced IoT Applications and Embedded System Design”

    A 3-days workshop on “Advanced IoT Applications and Embedded System Design” was organized from February 27th, 2020, in association with Texas Instruments, Edgate Technologies and ISOI Students Chapter. The workshop was inaugurated by Dr. A Srinivasan, Director of PG Studies, DSCE. The students of 4th and 6th semesters of various branches participated in the workshop. The students got hands on experience on IoT and embedded system designing.
