The Speaker started with his experience to the Indian Administrative Services outlined the importance of IAS, list of services (Central and state), Policy making, decision making, impact of their services in the Society, their reputation. Compared the Services with all other employment opportunities, focussed on the guidelines how to prepare for the examination, listed out the available subjects ,examination pattern, eligibility criteria, showed the video of the IAS Training Academy. The session ended up with the students’ interaction.
Tech-Talk on Entrepreneurship
A Tech-Talk was conducted on Entrepreneurship for 6th Semester students of department of Computer Science & Engineering on 09/03/2019. The Tech-Talk was on entrepreneurship, which guided students upon their innovative ideas to get started with their entrepreneurship ideas.
Technical talk on Recent Trends in Technology
TThe Department of Computer Science & Engineering Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering organized a Technical talk on Recent Trends in Technology on 13th March 2019 at Digital Class Room-II. The student convenor Mr. Akshaj Jain of VI Semester Student DSCE,CSE delivered the talk from 2.p.m to 3 p.m.
The lecture was received with admiration by the students and they also found the presentation slides appropriate. Topics which were discussed are as follows:

The second series of tech talks called the “Emerging Tech Talks” was conducted on 21stSeptember at DSCE campus, Bangalore. The industry experts from Nokia delivered the talk. Students from DSU and DSCE attended the sessions. All the sessions were very informative and helped the students in understanding the various technologies and scope of the latest technologies of the IT industry. As a part of the University Collaboration, Nokia Bangalore, conducted a series of Tech Talks for the students of DSU and DSCE. The sessions were handled by the industry experts from Nokia, Bangalore. The first set of talk“Fundamental Tech Talk”,was conducted on 14/9/18 at Dayananda Sagar University, Hosur Road, Bangalore. The talk was an introductory session to the various IT Sectors. The Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Innovation Lab invited Dr. Ramkashi to speak on the topic of chatbots and inspire students to involve in making of chatbots and also involving in machine learning on 7th September 2018.
All 5th semester students were present to listen to the distinguished speaker whose words were very informative and inspiring. The students got to know much about chatbots and machine learning.
Different machine learning tools were also explained to get students started off with machine learning projects of their own.

Prof B N Chatterjee, distinguished professor (retired) from IIT Kharagpur and one of the pioneer of image processing work in India visited the CSE dept on 31st May 2017 for a talk on “Research in Academia and career development” to all faculty and master’s student of the department. In his informative talk, he dwelt on the requirement, need, criteria and significance of research in India. He also gave a background on the start of image processing work in India and setting up of image processing lab at IIT Kharagpur that has produced more than 150 research students with PhD degree.

Advanced Lecture Series in Ocular Pharmacology’ 16 (ASOP’ 16)
ASOP’ 16 was held on August 13 th and 14 th of 2016 at Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering, Bangalore. It was jointly organized by Department of Biotechnology and Center for Ophthalmic Instrumentation & Imaging (COII), Department of Computer Science & Engineering. The lecture series focused on discussing technological needs for pharmaceutical or medical device industries related to Ocular pharmacology. It also stressed on foster collaboration in the field of biomedical engineering.
The lecture series had delegates from Indiana University, USA, Sankara Nethralaya, Chennai, Amity University, Jaipur and various research scholars from Hyderabad and Bangalore. The event witnessed various talks on biomedical engineering in ophthalmology and its emerging trends along with poster presentation from research scholars and graduate students. The inauguration of the event started with lighting of the lamp by chief patrons and patrons with a melodious invocation by Nayana Hammini. It then followed by a motivational talk by beloved Principal, Dr. CPS Prakash. The inauguration concluded by a keynote talk by Dr. SP Srinivas. The two day workshop ASOP’ 16 was a successful event and helped the participants gain exposure in research in the field of Biomedical Engineering.
